About Me
Ivana Bestic-Moore
M.A., LPC
I am Ivana Bestic Moore, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing psychotherapy to adults across Texas.
My clinical work focuses on anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and questions related to identity and self-understanding.
I work from an integrative perspective, with a strong foundation in relational and psychodynamic therapy. My approach is also informed by attachment theory and research on trauma, emotional development, and emotion regulation. I draw from other clinical approaches when they may be helpful to each person.
I earned my Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology. My clinical experience includes work in inpatient, outpatient, private practice, and nonprofit settings. Over the years, I have provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy to children and adults with a wide range of needs. My current private practice focuses on individual psychotherapy with adults.
I completed my internship training at The Menninger Clinic, where I worked with a diverse range of clients with complex clinical presentations. I will begin my studies in the Adult Psychodynamic Studies program in Fall 2026. I continue to pursue advanced professional development while also learning from life and from my clients.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in education and chemical engineering. These experiences have given me an understanding of academic and professional pressures, career transitions, identity, and the demands of working life.
Living between cultures has given me a personal understanding of identity, belonging, and what it can be like to find your place between two worlds.
Outside of my work, I enjoy many forms of art, photography, dancing, swimming, spending time in nature, quiet moments, and meaningful time with others.
Sessions are available in English and Serbian, Bosnian, or Croatian.
